I was looking for items which have strong base colors which were not made for children. I was surprised at how hard it was. It seems that grown ups have a more refined sense of color, excluding the color block fashion trend (which I hope will be gone by next year). This further reinforces the sense that most colors in the world are actually quite vague, and that our insistence that children learn all the names of the colors is somewhat artificial. I’m not suggesting we shouldn’t teach them colors, only that we should realize that it’s hardly a survival skill.
